Fun Ways to Teach How the Bible is Organized

Believe it or not, there is a struc-ture to the Bible's organization and it is important to help kids understand this structure. As with most memory work, however, there is an element of repetitive rote learning when it comes to memorizing how the Bible is organized. But, just as there are fun ways to teach kids the books of the Bible, there are fun ways to teach how the Bible is organized as well. Sarah Reeves offers some suggestions in this week's Sunday School Blog post

Deborah

Deborah was a Judge in Israel whom God used to free them from oppression from their enemies. This was during the time before Israel had kings. Deborah's life demonstrated that God desires our availability regardless of our social standing. Click here or on the image to see a list of activities about this important woman in Israel's history.

Queen Esther

Queen Esther stands as one of the great figures of courage and faith in the Old Testament. Her people, the Israelites, were living in Babylon. Some evil people were hoping to kill the Jews and were plotting against them. Esther approached the king and was able to save her people. Click here or on the image for activities to help kids learn about this brave woman.

You Must Be Born Anew!

When a man from the Jewish leadership named Nicodemus came to visit Jesus at night, Jesus told him he must be born again in order to be a part of God's kingdom. In this same conversation, Jesus give us one of the most famous verses in the Bible, John 3:16. Click here or on the image to see Bible lesson activities about this important conversation in Jesus' ministry.
