Children's Bible Activities for Your Church, Home or School

Fun Ways to Memorize the Books of the Bible

Teaching the books of the Bible to kids can feel like a daunting task. After all, there are 66 of them! Wow! Most Christian parents and teachers, however, understand the value of memorizing the books of the Bible. It's a skill we appreciate more as we age. In this week's blog post, Sarah Reeves gives us some fun ways to help kids tackle this important challenge

Queen Esther

Queen Esther stands as one of the great figures of courage and faith in the Old Testament. Her people, the Israelites, were living in Babylon. Some evil people were hoping to kill the Jews and were plotting against them. Esther approached the king and was able to save her people. Click here or on the image for activities to help kids learn about this brave woman.

Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz

The story of Ruth, Naomi, and Boaz is a beautiful story of love and redemption. The love between Ruth and Naomi sets a wonderful example of committed love that goes the distance. The willingness of Boaz to be the kinsman redeemer for Ruth illustrates the redemptive love Jesus has for us as well.Click here or on the image for activities that will help kids learn about this beautiful story of love, commitment, and redemption.

Jesus' Baptism

Jesus began His public ministry by being baptized by John the Baptist. This important event represented Jesus' identification with all people, because we have all sinned and are in need of new birth through spiritual death and resurrection. The activities will help kids understand that Jesus was the Savior who became sin for us, but it will also help children see that all people are in need of a Savior. Jesus is that Savior! Click here or on the image to see Bible lesson activities about this important event in Jesus' ministry.
